Heard about the trump shooting first here. Jumped to X, not much current stuff to see there.

We already know for a fact that Meta’s platforms throttle news and political content in multiple ways. Obviously, the algorithm.

But there was an incident a couple weeks ago in which Instagram had a “bug” in settings that was auto muting political content. Meta said it was rapidly fixed.

I got on Facebook to see what anyone might be saying, not that i would see it anyway. I immediately fat thumbed a friend’s post and got sucked into an AI DM abyss. Best part? It was a journalist friend’s non-news status 🤣

On X, you may see that a former POTUS was shot.

On Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram) you will likely see no content about Trump being shot. If anyone is scrolling there now, they could be completely unaware.

It’s already happening. Nostr is already serving its purpose.
