But you can’t fool all the people all the times

Today marks 35 years since the Berlin Wall came down. I was 12, living right next to it, looking out over the wall from my window. Too young to get the politics, but the vibe? Unmistakable. School shut down, people took to the streets, change was in the air, even if I didn’t fully get it.

The 90s in Berlin were something else. Empty buildings, raves that went on for days, a city alive in the ruins. Back then, we were too deep in it to realize how rare it was.

It makes me wonder: would the Wall have fallen sooner if we’d had a network like Nostr and money like Bitcoin?
