The easiest way to farm nostr is to find some obscure but interesting accounts on IG and the likes and just copy their content here. No way to verify they are legit if they don’t post any proof - and no one will care to ask for it because they are not a “big deal”.
If I were a scammer this is what I would do at scale.

I not sure about the strategy because the public is not the same, IG general users and Today Nostr participants are diferent.
I think they are different audiences. IG for the most part is playful content.
