The US want to remain the reserve currency for the USD sphere, what we call “The West”.

They can’t maintain global empire any more so they’ll pull back to new borders, more heavily integrate everyone under that umbrella economically and on security, and maintain the same playbook to the same benefits of the same powerful people at the top.
