My dad made me this cutting board, it's end grain, which means that each little square is cut out and sanded, then glued together. The top of the board is the end of the grain, so cut marks "self heal" since each cut goes between the strands of wood, not across. It feels like a piece of glass it is so smooth. The absolute precision of that man leaves my mind blown.
