I think you misunderstand... You can just run the S17 @ 15 watts... or 20w or whatever power you have to put to it. The BitAxe and the S17 are equally affordable to run as they have the same hashing efficiency... The Bitaxe is wildly more expensive for the hash ceiling it has.

Bitaxe is relatively new. If the market takes to it and can produce more, it will become even cheaper.
