I never really have been religious, as I mentioned I grew up in the Mormon church, I left a long with some family when I was a teenager because it didn't feel right, I read a lot and decided it wasn't something I felt right about.

Since then I just haven't been religious at all, I'm not atheist because I believe there must be something or someone who started this life on earth, but I can't see myself aligning with any religion I have heard about.

Even when I was a kid I was always questioning stuff in my religion and didn't think it made sense.

I am open to being proven wrong, but religion is mostly based on faith as opposed to proof of science which is why I have a hard time believing it's real.

I believe Jesus Christ was probably a real man but have a hard time believing he is the son of a god.

Tough to really know. I subscribe to the idea of Pascuals Wager.... makes sense to believe than to not.

Better to have lived a righteous life and be wrong than live without a belief in Jesus and live in hell for eternity.

Besides, I feel great when I pray and read the bible.

Bitcoin will save me financially, Jesus will save my soul for eternity.

It’s super simple, but it took the evil of the past 5 years to show me the light.

The key is The Truth.

Look at Mohammed, pederast warlord that married a child. Their religion is based on martyrdom and conversion by the sword. There’s no truth in them, only violence and rape.

Look at the jews, they worship moloch. Their commandments are only for them, and even they don’t follow them internally. YOU and everyone around them are cattle to be slaughtered, which is why they celebrate genocide. Human sacrifices to their demon lord.

Look at other religions, Buddhism for example. It’s seems good, but it’s not enough. It’s malleable, and can be easily swayed because it’s not based in truth.

Whether or not you “believe in god,” I imagine you believe in an objective truth. That is the key. Christ is “the way, the truth, the life.” They’re one and the same. When you speak the truth, even in the face of death, or ridicule, or ostracization, you speak the word of the one true god.

Every other religion feeds the ego, Christianity is the only religion that feeds the truth at all costs.

Obviously goes deeper and belief in Christ is the gateway to eternal life. Living a “good life,” isn’t enough.

But start with the truth, and go from there. You’ll find your way.

Also, baby steps. I’ve found my way through YouTube and bishop Robert Barron. There are others.

I’m not religious either, but your explanation was beautiful. I believe in god and take pieces from religion that make sense to me. There are many things in the Bible I don’t believe or I believe were altered. But I agree with your reasoning, you make a very solid argument for Christianity. Thank you for the wisdom

Thank you.

I am but a sheep, finding my way.

This is a solid reply

"Fr fr, you think so? What part hit the hardest for you? 🤔💯"

It's not all faith. You can and should want evidence. For that, look to the apostles, the desert fathers, the saints and miracles (e.g. the shroud of Turin, the Eucharistic miracles, the picture of our Lady of Guadalupe and the smaller everyday miracles you experience)

I feel the same way. I always have and I was raised Catholic but never believed it. I was Muslim for a short bit of time and also Buddhist. Now I just believe in god and try to do the right thing

Pascals wager. You dont have to believe and get all the details right to believe and win.

You're a Deist.

Had to Google this term, but yeah for the most part.

Yeah it's new to me too, heard a podcaster refer to himself as that. I've mostly thought of myself as an atheist, but I'm probably an agnostic more accurately.
