The US is considering a plan called the Post-Quantum Financial Infrastructure Framework (PQFIF); a framework to protect digital assets from the threats of quantum computing!
The report warns that if a powerful quantum computer is built, it could break current encryption, undermine the security of trillions of dollars of assets, and destroy trust in the entire market.
For this reason, US financial institutions have suggested that we should start thinking about preparing for the “post-quantum” era today; because adversaries can store today’s encrypted data to be decrypted by quantum machines in the future.
This news shows that even at the highest levels of policymaking, future threats are taken seriously.
However, #Bitcoin, with its global community of developers, is constantly being reinforced and updated to survive in any situation. While other digital assets may collapse in the face of such a threat, #Bitcoin, with its strong social and technological foundation, can adapt to the conditions.
