I’ll never get why people buy #Gold, a bearer asset, and ship it off to another country for storage. Honestly, it’s gotta be one of the dumbest things humans have invented.

I used to do this before I was full Bitcoin. I bought gold and paid to store it in another state. Stupid! I sold it all and bought Bitcoin.
It was the absolute best option for thousands of years. Stop discrediting our ancestors as if they weren't wiser than we are now. They were. We're the idiots.
I’ll never get why people buy Bitcoin IOUs in the form of ETFs or wBTC on Ethereum, or holding their coins on Binance and Coinbase instead of holding the bearer asset. Honestly, it’s one of the dumbest things humans have invented.
Because nazis or russians trampled Europe and looted on their way of conquer. It was considered safer to keep it overseas.
Same reason they buy bitcoin and store it on exchanges?
