Ask her which government she's referring to. Because bitcoin is worldwide, it can even work in outer space with the right equipment.

She said she bought some at the 2017 top and rode it for a while. I’m assuming she couldn’t stomach it and sold for a loss. I reminded her that it’s higher in USD value today. Complaining about volatility is so pedestrian.
