I don't agree with being trans is any sort of "ideology" or mental illness. Just like being gay or being black or being Jewish isn't.
I do agree though that nobody should be jailed for saying what they think, no matter their opinion and how toxic it may be. As long as people talk, they maybe can be reached. And when we stop discussing we're all fucked anyway
It is a set of ideas/beliefs shared by members of a group.
A key difference between the trans ideaology and Judaism is that I can't be punished by the state for not being a Jew.
Might be incorrect here, but an ideology in my point of view is something you try to spread and indoctrinate on others. It's ridiculous to think that being trans fits this, I am sure a lot of trans people would be thankful not to have the struggles they have to go through.
Being made visible and to advertise for acceptance doesn't mean trying to convert people
