I have to admit that I don't care at all about normies. The question of "will a normie use this" is not interesting to me. As long as anyone can do it if they want, it's all good.

Will normies ever use Bitcoin? If they are stupid, they won't, if they are willing to learn, they will. There should be ways for them to get it ( nostr:npub1mftv2j67vayavkks8rqev3u8jjhefe86tf80msstfxvpunk9vmps6prkl3 l is here. ...but a normie wants to pay with card and not meet strangers in shady coffee shops... Have I told you I don't care about normies?)

But a normie would not use encrypted messenger, they need their Zuck-approved spyware or a hosted spyware (telegram). My mom uses Signal. So can your normie friend.

If all normies move to Signal, will the world be in a better state? If yes, then isn't it our job to make software more approachable to them, instead of explaining how to write a systemd file that runs a program to sync your obsidian notes without leaving your house? Is that a valid argument?

I care about individuals and if they're not moving to Signal, it's not my place to convince them. They want to do something else with their time, it's their choice.

I don't believe in common good. Only in individual good deeds.

well, problem is if normie is good friend and I am not able to convince him to use signal. In that case it is bit hard to not care.
