I hate to hear that. I've had other dogs on Trifexis or Simparica Trio and it worked so well. Was at the vet yesterday and he said the seizure thing would come with any of the internal meds.

That sucks. Duke has had occasional seizures throughout his life (maybe 2-3 per year), but we've never been able to link them to anything. They don't seem to coincide with any medication, food, or activity, he'll just lock up every few months, and then be fine for a long time. But it's scary as hell every time it happens.
I'm sure fleas and ticks have a role in the ecosystem, but, like mosquitoes, if there was a magic button I could press that would make them all disappear forever, I might be willing to roll the dice... 😉

Seizures can be triggered by all kinds of things. Overexcitement, like at holidays where there are a lot of people around, other animals, fireworks, can set them off. But, like you've experienced, sometimes it's just flaky wiring of the nervous system. A brain short you might say. And because you can't explain it you/we feel worse. It's the same with people.
