I love American people, they drive innovation since as far as i can remember, they are kind, approachable and inspiring.

I have not been back in a few years but now that i am here, i feel the stress in their eyes and wonder how can they make ends meet and even accept that a sandwich now costs 23$ and a bottle of water at 4$.

LA and Las Vegas...ok i concur probably where inflation hits the highest but i am sure we are close to these rates in all major cities.

I am in Vegas now, i mean the bottle of water in my room is 24$ damn it

Prices for food are out of control. I will say that if you’ve only been in an airport and an expensive hotel so far, what you’re seeing is beyond inflation and just straight-up price gouging. If you’re looking for more affordable options, try to find a restaurant owned by an immigrant family that mainly serves the non-tourist community.
