something that people don't quite understand yet is that, contrary to Fiat, Bitcoin is entirely voluntary. Everyone, in their own freedom, can choose whether to participate or not. Everyone will at some point, either for will or for need.
I had a talk about this with one of my best friends over the weekend, and he said something like “That's what I don't like about Bitcoin, that I can't use it anywhere. It's going to take years for everyone to use it”. my reply was something like “Contrary to Fiat, which is mandated and you are forced to use it, Bitcoin is entirely open and voluntary, Bitcoin will be there when you need it, nobody will force you to use it. But because it's not controlled by anyone, is decentralized, and has no central authority, it's up to us to help it and build the future we want to see. this is not going to happen by itself, we have to work for it. So don't wait for Bitcoin to be accepted everywhere, contribute to the future that you want to see and ask everyone why are they not accepting Bitcoin yet”.
So I think Nostr is similar. we have the tools, now it's up to us to use them and spread the word. One can't wait for Nostr to work and be popular to start using it. ⚡
