Yeah, but some don't want to face how evil common people can be, so they assume that there are three evil people on the planet, and everyone else is just their mindless, soulless puppets.

But this is wrong. Evil is an everyday thing. It is all around us and sometimes in us. It walks the Earth.

yup. and i'd just say that evil is always and necessarily stupid. it's a mental disorder. one that can be transmitted by doing evil to babies, that's when the worst kind of evil is born. evil is a virus of corrruption. this is why you can't be good without stringent diligence against your own tendencies towards errors.

the biggest difference between an "evil" person and a "good" person is all about whether they take responsibility and try to correct and reform themselves to not repeat errors. none of us can make no errors, it's impossible because of the information we have can be corrupted, or misunderstood.

my personal definition of evil is the deliberate promotion and enactment of errors. evil people are uncomfortable around good people so they try to corrupt them, by misleading them, by obstructing them, and eventually by trying to hurt and kill them.

goodness triggers evil people because it reminds them of their sins and their vanity drives them to destroy what hurts their self image. this is also why they are virtue signalling. virtue signalling is a massive red flag for people who will turn on you when it suits them.

I like your definition. Evil is the one who knows they are doing wrong and not trying to right it.
