i think one of the things that sets the Nordic countries apart from the Anglosphere is that you can't hide stuff behind fanciful language here. i mean, you can, but the more fanciful it gets, the more foreign it comes across as, and the more distrust there is of it.
the vikings had no polite words for a penis or a vagina.
penis was "kuk" and vagina was "fitta" and no other words existed, so you either said it or you didn't.
English masks itself more. hides behind veiled words.
