Price is boring. Getting more people to use bitcoin is not.
Making it cheaper (or even possible) for people to use Bitcoin is necessary. Lightning, Ark and other convoluted Rube-Goldberg machine designs are distractions. Drivechain and Statechains are the only non-custodial solutions.
