Standardization matters, just like how bitcoin is the standard on the internet, so is English.

It’s also bc the US is the only superpower. Language is a big part of it. Another reason why China is not a real threat like the boomers think
Checks out
The crazy part is the trend is going downwards with the youth as well . One would think it would be growing, they are probably nihilistic after covid inflation like that’s the point
19 out of 20 in latam is pretty wild. nostr:npub1e873s875jdfqamskc305g75td6zg8vj239282slwjew762xd758snwekmz is right, they don’t need to learn English, their own economy is large enough and self sustaining without it. But still surprising to see it that low relative to the rest of Latam
The only latam country behind Mexico is Haiti lol crazy . Guess I have to explore more of Latam. Argentina is #1, filled with Italians. They are def on the way up now with milei
Even in Argentina is super low too lol
I bet lol and they are #1, it puts this into perspective
Interesting they are because the Brits stole that one island close to their shores hahahaha
Maybe it’s apart of their struggle with hyperinflation out of necessity , idk. Saylor always talks about how he did business there.
Could be that. I don’t know much about Argentinian culture
Me either I’m just guessing lol . Also all the Italians immigrating there after ww2. That’s when my dad learned English, coming to the US in the 60s
Could be! Let me ask our fren nostr:npub1yrffsyxk5hujkpz6mcpwhwkujqmdwswvdp4sqs2ug26zxmly45hsfpn8p0
Che, es verdad que en la Argentina se habla Inglés también?
Así es, en los colegios ya te enseñan ingles
Perfecto 👌 con eso Uds están en la delantera en toda Sur América
Don’t they teach English in school in all of latam tho lol
In private schools yes and in private schools that are country based (for example the American school or German schools) but public schools I don’t think they’ll teach as intensive as the private ones
For example in American schools they teach all classes in English just like you were taught here in the US
