unpopular opinion: I want the us state strategic reserve to contain primarily memecoins, monkey nfts and pump and dump shitcoins.

let them go down. state should be poor.

Regardless they will be poor. If they have Bitcoin, they will quickly lose it because they don't produce anything. The point of a Bitcoin reserve is to make the debtors, that have been holding up the US debt bubble, whole when the US Government ultimately defaults. Shitcoins lets the scammers pass debt to a greater fool.

This is really a question of who you despise more the US govt or shitcoin scammers. Though the US govt is both, the shitcoin reserve saves them some pain.

They will not go down, us government can always print more papers with dead American presidents.

the value will go down, but I see no reason to reward those that were financing the us government. They need to have skin in the game, and that includes skin in the fall of the value of the paper they "invested" in.

buying government bonds is helping to finance what is going on.
