Sun beaming down, been to the beach, cooking some fresh food for lunch, and once again thinking about a delicious lager
It’s not that the one I’m drinking is bad
It’s that I could make it so much better
For anyone that likes wine, they’ll understand what I mean, when the Providence of each product is so cool
When was it grown? Where was it grown? How is it blended? What is the history of the wine maker?
All these questions combine to create a totally unique bottle
Each vintage is different
Why couldn’t beer be similar?
As an experience, I believe there are people out there but they totally priced insensitive, they just love quality above all else
So if they spend $10 for $20 on one beer or do not
Hence the phrase “if you’re just going to have two, why not have the best two?”
Anyways, this idea continues to percolate for me
And what I’m wondering, is this something that I actually want to do? Or is this some kind of deep conditioning, and once again the cycle is playing out, and I’m trying to prove something to a dead ancestor of mine?
In particular, my father
Or is it rather some deep sense of knowing? A calling? An entire lifetime of experience in an around a family business, that can be brought to life in my own interpretation, now ready to appear?
On a simple level when I ask myself, “does the world need another beer company?” I answer: no.
The world needs a way to communicate free of censorship online
The world needs better money so we don’t all get screwed by a handful of people by inflation
We need to write the wrongs
But maybe that can be done through a simple product
like beer?
Maybe you can build a brand that stands for those things?
Or maybe you build a business that just works, and in your spare time advocate for those things?
Still plenty of thinking to do
Cheers to anyone having a crisp lager at lunch today
