⚡️🚛 ALERT - Gaza NGOs coordinator, Eyad Amawi, tells Drop Site that the situation in Gaza remains one of genocide and “engineered suffering.” More than a month into the ceasefire, he says nothing has meaningfully improved: aid is still choked off, UNRWA is blocked from operating at full capacity, and only one tightly controlled crossing allows limited entry.

Here’s what to know:

⭕️ Thousands of trucks sit stranded while winter rain floods flimsy summer tents, leaving families soaked in rainwater and sewage as the shattered infrastructure collapses around them. Israel continues to ban basic equipment, including solar panels and batteries, under “dual-use” claims.

⭕️ Importantly, Amawi describes a parallel economic siege: bank accounts frozen, electronic wallets shut down, cash barred from entering, and worn bills rejected in markets.

⭕️ This, he says, is the deliberate “management of famine” along with a “management of the economic crisis,” allowing commercial trucks in while knowing people have no money to buy anything.

⭕️ The pressure, he believes, is meant to push Palestinians toward displacement while confining the population to a devastated western zone, as an Israeli-controlled “Green Zone” is rebuilt under Israeli security terms.
