When I pointed out he can’t cross a border with a gun (which he is using to stay put to defend his hoard - no geo-arbitrage possible) his solution was just to use multiple couriers and insure them 🤣🤣🤣
Goldbugs did all the work to understand sound money, then just ignore centralisation by CBs and the extreme difficulty of moving that wealth around.

They see that as the ultimate self-sovereignty and whilst I can see some appeal in that, being *unable* to move means you’re an ATF firebomb or toxic train derailment or catastrophic weather event away from losing all your wealth anyway.
Gold is a good “get out of dodge” last resort asset - they treat it as a “Custer’s last stand” asset.

This is not realistic if you need to gtfo of somewhere in a day or less with any meaningful amount of gold.

1million usd = 35.5 lbs A lot of people probably could easily Carry their savings in gold really, but I get and like your point. Hope to accumulate enough bit coin that I couldn’t carry the gold equivalent, that will be a while lol.
