I agree with Gerald Pollack that cancer is the body's response to cells with a weakened electrical potential due to not enough Exclusion Zone water (which is negatively charged). Getting infrared energy from the sun is one of the main ways we build EZ water in the cells, also grounding to earth since the Earth is also negatively charged.

This is why the Gerson clinic has been so successful at "curing" cancer since they're loading people up with EZ water via green juice and coconut water, and expelling toxins with cofee enemas..
