fedimint is a solution because it makes it possible for a community to have just 1 onchain transaction for hundreds or thousands of people. inside the mint the people can trade with ease and connecting federations around the world should be a much better way for scaling then LN just alone.

the synergy is amazing!

and the custody tradeoff is certainly better then leaving coins on exchanges.
