Venerable Onufrie of Vorona, in his youth, was a shepherd. One day, while tending his flock near the Vorona Monastery, he found an icon of the Mother of God in a tree. Taking this as a divine sign, he left his worldly life and became a monk. Onufrie excelled in fasting, prayer, and humility, drawing many to the monastic life. He became known for his spiritual wisdom and guidance, helping countless souls find their way to God.
