This is a big ass virtue signal. Are they gonna allow a payout in Bitcoin? Are the legislators gonna even propose it?
Black American reparations in the 21st century is a total farce. The conversation alone is irrational unless this is a CBDC rollout … otherwise these folks are playing a nasty game. It’ll set a gross and dismissive precedent. This game ultimately ends in money printer going boom and civil liberties destroyed. An entire population of people given scarlet fever blankets in modern times.
If someone really did the math based off of what was originally proposed (after the civil war) the country would implode.
A reparations payment in anything other than Bitcoin puts all the marching and dying during Jim Crow America in vain.
Is that for each person, or total? Either way it’s laughable.
