The very short-term goal is to make a real world version of the demo running at https://www.pinthing.com/
It's why the 3D-printed/electronic prototype is 3x5 pixels – just enough detail to display any integer 0 to 9. Stack a few more next to each other and, voilà : an exquisitely over-engineered clock.

Thanks! It's only taken like half my life to learn how to make it. (Knew nothing about circut design or making mechanical things at the start.) It's been an adventure. I should pick easier projects next time, but I do like a challenge.
