TIL that James Barrie lost his 13-year-old brother in an accident as a kid. To comfort his mother, he started speaking and acting like his brother, and his mother always treated him as if he was his dead brother. Thus, Barrie later wrote a novel about a kid stuck in eternal childhood: "Peter Pan".
