NG-1: INAUGURAL TEST FLIGH OF BLUE ORIGIN'S NEW GLENN ROCKET

Blue Origin's New Glenn rocket reaches orbit for the first time on a first try.

The rocket successfully lifted off from Launch Complex 36(LC-36) at Florida's Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

Stage separation occurred and the upper stage successfully jettisoned the fairings and reached orbit, carrying the company's Blue Ring Pathfinder payload.

"Second stage engine cutoff confirmed. New Glenn’s second stage and payload are now in orbit. Another burn coming up..."Blue Origin wrote on X.

The company has however confirmed that it didn't land the first stage booster as hoped. Though it's not a main objective in this inaugural mission.

The Jeff Bezos company hopes to have a reusable New Glenn's first stage booster much like SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket.

NG-1 marks New Glenn's first National Security Space Launch certification flight. https://video.nostr.build/b231e4a53fcfdf485670e39199326cac7445cb7d171d48b414a68ada61b1bcd9.mp4
