I mean, I guess digital art needs backups, but that need is not fullfilled with NFT's because they are just digital reciepts for jpegs that may or may not be backed up.

Right, but I'm thinking more from the perspective from the Op Return debate.
- Jpegs uploaded to Blossom server
- Add a shortebed URL link to the photo using Op Return.
This will be way below the 42 character threshold of Knots. The funding is a consequence of capital misallocation caused by fiat money printers going brrrrrr.
