People work for what the money can buy. When it doesnt buy anything, people pretend to work like we have alot of in thw west now.
It's almost like peer-to-peer transactions between individuals in a free market is much more efficient at understanding people's desires than a centralized bureaucracy that has no understanding of the average person. This goes for both the Gosplan and the Gosbank.
The current centrally planned money system has led to substantial black markets too. Many global commodities trade in what OFAC would call black markets.
