Not going to lie… holidays and birthdays are tough. I need to put up a show, the everything is fine show, the everything is awesome show. I need to bite my tongue when provocations inevitably start flying my way and do my best to stick to humor.

It’s exhausting, it’s draining, all in all on the inside it is sad.

But, my son’s smile makes it all worth it. It’s not about avoid suffering, it is about finding things worth suffering for.
