I am also tired of the bitcoin platitude “fiat turns us all into gamblers”.
While, yes, this is true, I’m not convinced it’s driving most people’s gambling.
I know one guy who is betting on polymarket regularly that makes $300k+. He’s doing just fine and doesn’t need to be playing that game. But still, he does.
I think it appeals to certain people’s ego in such a way that irresistible to them.
