The thief on the cross did exactly one act: repented of his sins, trusting his salvation #ToChristAlone.

"Jesus remember me when you come into your Kingdom."

What did the thief do to be saved? He was not baptized. He did no good works. He didn't accept the pope. He didn't pray the rosary. He didn't follow the laws of Moses. He didn't attend church.

Through faith alone, by way of repentance and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, the thief was saved.

God will never fail to bring about salvation for His elect.

He had faith alone, but my, what faith! Imagine the amount of faith it took to believe that the man being executed next to you is the Messiah! Even some of Jesus' followers doubted this fact at that time.

Only the type of faith that comes regeneration by God.

And I correct myself: It's not the amount of faith the thief had, became Jesus had previously said that you can do miraculous things with even the tiniest bit of faith.
