El Salvador used to be murder capitol of the world. Now it's the 2nd to safest country in the Western Hemisphere.

How did President Nayib Bukele do it?

He cracked down on crime and jailed more than 65,000 gang members.

El Salvador now has the world's highest incarceration rate by far and a national homicide rate that's down by 92%. His approval rating now stands at 90%.

The Bukele Model can and should be replicated everywhere. It works.

Yeah, Im following Bukele and his management of El Salvador šŸ¤“

The decline in the rate started years before the mass incarceration. What measures were taken in the years before that?

The needle really began moving following the monumental MS-13 roundup…

Let's look back at history which other leaders cleaned out the country and arrested the entire mafia and criminals.

šŸ‘€

Ok let's better not ....

While I see where you’re going with this…

El Salvador was not run by a government, but gangs. Something had to be done to restore control and help citizens, encourage tourism… etc.

He could have done it many different ways, but end result would have been the same. I don’t see him as a dictator.

I perfectly support what he did.

And want that for all western countries as they are all run by the mafia.

Who says it aint so is either part of it or very ignorant to reality

It’s ignorance for sure… they think they’re standing up for human right, but these ā€œpeopleā€ are subhuman

I support what he did too but I don't think it would work in the United States.

No but it would work in single states, those not commited on getting rid of criminals will sink with them into total collapse. Skill. Capital and labor would automatically leave those zones and migrate to the functioning states

The US has much more sophisticated tracking and surveillance technology to identify unsavory characters and distinguish them from others with just face tats and gang attire, but we have a completely ludicrous back end when it comes to processing and incarcerating criminals because of activist DAs and Judges setting violent criminals free.

Evil people who prey on others belong in a cage. Our crime stats show that leniency leads to increased violence, while El Salvador’s results point to more effective law and order by going on offense, despite opposition focusing on the rights of criminals, who forfeited their rights once they turned to crime, IMO

It was a lot easier there because the gang members have their gang tattooed right on their head. It's a more serious thing with very little larping.

If you trying to enforce us in the United States you'd capture a bunch of wannabe teens (as well as some real criminals)

But Bukele isn't letting them out. We would catch far too many Innocents here.

Innocents eh?šŸ˜† Would be wellllll worth it and send a very clear, desperately needed message

You say that until you're the innocent.

It's never worth it.

You only get one life and it's not okay to have to worry about spending it in prison even though you didn't do anything wrong because makes somebody else feels better.

Nobody wants to see innocent people incarcerated and in there with all the prison animals.

I, however, don’t want those criminals on the street, and right now, crime is higher in NYC than it has been in 2-3 decades because we have activist DAs and judges not prosecuting obvious criminals in the name of social justice, and the shit isn’t working.

Looking at you Colombia

Funny how a lot of dei types only bring up human rights when their fake, invented "rights" are being violated but are silent when real natural rights are being destroyed
