If you think US Social Media companies haven’t destroyed the internet enough, the #RESTRICTact attempts to capture the internet entirely by giving the federal government the legal authority to impose app/website/software bans & threaten citizens with monetary seizure and jail for interacting with banned sites/apps using a VPN.

No it’s just proposed. I have already called in messages to my Senator. I only have one since the other (Fetterman) is essentially braindead and nobody knows where he is. I also called my congressman.
