I’m just explaining the other side of the coin because it’s something I am able to add context to, and the ethics of youtube reviewers is somethign I find very fascinating.

your mic reviews are very good , one thing you don’t do is visiting trade shows

Have you noticed how Røde employees at trade shows, were promising some features that later appeared to be lie? And that promises are on YouTube as videos by reviewers who visit trade shows…

nostr:npub1a73wyr3s8ffagwsnlfd548d0nsaqcwdnn6550akehaxglw3kzc8qce7y6q I don’t like the idea of going to trade shows for a few reasons.

1) I don’t want to be flown out by a company because that’s more of a relationship than I want with a company.

2) I don’t want to spend thousands of dollars to go to a trade show where all I’m gaining is awareness of the gear that will be available in a few months.

3) I don’t want to get too friendly with these companies or the people who work at them. I like many of them, but don’t want to become too close.
