There is definitely a market for a protocol where the user is responsible for his data. That’s the value proposition of nostr

Normie's I Know brag about hownlittle they care what data Google has. They claim its well worth it. Little do they know their data generates over $100,000 in revenue for google a year

Why would google ever move to nostr? That doesn’t make any sense. They would lose their cash cow: the user data

I was just using that as an example about of how little normies care about their data. In their mind its worth it

Maybe nostr is not for everyone. And that’s okay too

Nostr will be for everyone. Everyone will be on Nostr. It will be the standard protocol. Universal and interchangeable. 100% customizable. A unique experience for everyone

But it won’t be under google or meta’s control. That’s for sure

Only their relays. That is all that matters to them

Why would anyone use a google relay? That doesn’t even make sense. A company like that is all about centralization

Its just an example. But they do have the infrastructure to easily scale

They already have their infrastructure well in place. What’s the advantage for google to move to nostr ? I don’t see it
