For the services they provide, I feel that majority of all physicians are overpaid. This based purely on my anecdotal observations from my interactions with physicians at various appointments. (Note I’m also in the medical field) there has been a large number of new physicians coming into the field that don’t have that hippocratic oath drive to practice medicine. Rather you have a lot of people that became physicians purely because they were clever enough to game the admission system and MCAT for that “prestigious” and high paying position. There needs to be a massive purge of new physicians and efforts to increase the number of individuals that want to go into medicine of the correct reasons! This is a purely fiat result.
