Yes, that is the Japanese name for this technique of repairing broken pottery with gold.
It makes the damage and scars a highlight and a part of its beauty to be celebrated.
Might be other similar techniques in other parts of the world.
I had seen it before in certain restaurants around my community and it always looks beautiful every time I see it. I assumed that’s what the gold was used for to make it look beautiful
