Nerdy tech guys trend towards the type that “fall in love” with any girl that gives the the time of day. I say this as a blanket statement - they crush her with affection before she has done anything to earn their affection. This ends up being creepy because she just wants to get away from the guy but the guy keeps trying, thinking he can say the right thing that’ll make her fall in love. He’s not doing these things because he is nice, he is doing these things because he is desperate, pretending to be nice in hopes of getting a sexual connection.
