What?! How is that normal?! These wait times can actually be the difference between life and death in some cases

I don't think it's normal, but as a patient, you don't have a choice: either the doctor who prescribes the MRI decides it's an emergency and you'll be given priority, or you'll wait for a spot at one of the imaging centers.

When life is at stake, there's no waiting; you go to the emergency room and they take care of everything.
