Anybody around here are interested in building a self hosting home lab on cheap consumer grade equipement?
I’ve been learning Linux for the past 6 months and I am about to start a new project so I was wondering if it is worth the time to publish easy step by step tutorials as I go along.
Go for it! Have you decided on a self-hosting platform yet, docker or direct on OS?
I am going with a headless server (Ubuntu). Depending of the application I’ll go with docker-compose or direct install.
So far I have tested out the following:
-Bitcoin Core (Direct install
-Electrum Fulcrum (Direct install)
-Portainer (Docker)
-Photoprism (Docker compose)
-Home Assistant (Docker compose)
I need to test install:
-Tailscale
-Dashy
-Mealie
I’m planning to do a tutorial for each of them
