What are the hardware requirements to run a private relay?
I'm thinking maybe there's an accessible low-threshold option where users store notes for themselves, friends, and family.
No, I'm not suggesting we recreate Mastodon.
Certain notes could be published ONLY to that relay, while most go to all selected relays.
Next to nothing. The cheapest most basic minipc.
I should make it a 2024 goal to run my own private relay.
Most of my normies aren't here yet, but this could be good UX to post things that are more personal and private.
I tend to be more open and vulnerable here on Nostr anyway.
A good idea would be to get a basic Start9 server, then point and click the installation. Run a few other sovereign services too.
