When talking to nocoiners about #Bitcoin recently, an increasing number of people are responding with:

“What happens when the power grid goes down?”

How would you respond?

Ask them, how many of them can spend a night out camping by themselves? I'm willing to bet most of them would rather die. Bitcoin is a bet on a better future. If the grid goes down globally, money would be your last worry.

This question doesn't count because in those extreme moments probably they will be down either. 🙃

“What happens if life as we know it doesn’t exist anymore”? Great question. I dunno. What I do know for now is I’ll have my phone next year and I’ll be using Sats next year. And so will you eventually. The end of the world I’ll deal with when it happens.

We go back to the middle ages

Or die

If the grid goes down, you can’t use your Visa card, either. Or your bank, or a cash machine, or a gas pump.

These end of the world scenarios mean all bets are off. That’s why bitcoiners also buy guns and ammo, too.

Bitcoin is the most widely distributed network in the world, running on several different distributions of software that are based on multiple implementations of the core process, which runs on many different configurations of hardware, powered by every source of power humans have access to, in probably every country on earth. Using bitcoin for transactional or wealth preservation purposes requires minimal electricity that could be provided by anything from a portable solar panel to a hand crank generator.

We, as humans, will be living in caves and eating eachother before the bitcoin network fails.

#bitcoin is global and uses MANY forms of alternative energy to secure the network including solar and methane gas capture, IF a large amount of hash power was lost because of a wide scale power outage the mining difficulty would adjust. Tick tock next block 😎
