If the pope dies and someone based takes his place I'll convert.

You shouldn't. That's not how Catholicism is supposed to work and if you told a good priest that he would tell you to leave.

A better priest would help one find a better reason.

There are none. This is actually the best reason. The tradition of the Church is just against doing anything for a good reason.

The best reason is that Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity, He founded the Church, and He wants all to be part of His mystical Body.

I've been looking for a reason for a while. The pope being an absolute pussy is kinda off putting though to be honest.

So if we get a good one it would be a good time.

Honestly or in jest?

Honest

Let's stay in touch, then.

I am a Catholic convert, and the current pontiff might have been an obstacle if I were paying him attention during my conversion. It was really early in his pontificate (I converted the fall following hits election), so his faults didn't really show themselves to me at the time.

He's not an obstacle to my staying Catholic, but I do understand those for whom he is.
