You shouldn't. That's not how Catholicism is supposed to work and if you told a good priest that he would tell you to leave.
A better priest would help one find a better reason.

I am a Catholic convert, and the current pontiff might have been an obstacle if I were paying him attention during my conversion. It was really early in his pontificate (I converted the fall following hits election), so his faults didn't really show themselves to me at the time.
He's not an obstacle to my staying Catholic, but I do understand those for whom he is.
