Bishop Joseph the Confessor, during the rise of communism in Romania, staunchly defended the Orthodox faith against the regime's oppression. In 1950, he was arrested for refusing to denounce his beliefs and imprisoned in Sighet, where he endured immense suffering. Despite torture and pressure, he remained steadfast, offering spiritual support to his fellow prisoners. He died in prison in 1950s, a martyr for his unwavering faith.

Lord, may #JosephTheConfessor's courage inspire us to remain true to Your word.
