IF you handpick your own set of contacts aka FOLLOWING npubs and then backup your profile regularly use it for cross checking when impersonating profile pops up - no way u can follow a rouge or impersonating handle of someone. #nostr #tipstr #introductions - noticed a few bots pretending to joining nostr too.

Why would we need to backup our profile?
Why do u need back your nsec or seed of ur wallet?
The same reason - Nostr has no account - so "relaylist + following" is stored in profile.json (few kb max) = user task n responsibility.
I meant back up other than the nsec. Relaylist and following are not connected with the nsec?
I don't see where in amethyst to find a profile.json...

similar ur bitcoin private key is SIGNING and not storing transactions made with the key
