As one of my heroes, it was hard for me to watch, but IMO he took too many straight shots of woke kool-aid, quit Twitter, wrote his Ethereum book, and then removed himself from public life. I know he still does YT vids, but he's not the same. I also wonder if he was one of the OGs that promoted bitcoin, but ultimately didnt end up with many coins? Imagine trying to live strictly on bitcoin over the past ten years... sounds like a tough road, and I know he paid his employees in btc, and had layoffs, etc.

I went to one of his presentations in 2018, and they started the meetup discussing equity and safe spaces. It was a real turn off for me. It just seems like after the 2017 peak, he lost his luster and disappeared from the limelight.

After reading Mastering Bitcoin I was a huge fan and credit #aantonop with making me a bitcoin believer. It just saddens me that such an OG would fall so far. And I miss all the motivational presentations he would give. I'm sure many people would love an update on his takes and journey thus far.

Anyway, I hope he is doing well and greatly appreciate the contributions he's made to the space.
